Heat pump radiators are suitable for powerful, efficient heating and cooling at low system temperatures. The energy-saving operation of a heat pump is optimized.

Kampmann heat pump radiators are suitable for use in new buildings in order to benefit optimally from the cooling function of the heat pump. However, they are particularly ideal in existing buildings, because switching from an oil or gas heating system to a heat pump is possible without any problems.

Highlights

Heat pump efficiency

A low-temperature system only becomes efficient in combination with economical room units. Heat pump radiators are designed for a regular flow temperature of the heat pump of around 35 °C - unlike conventional radiators. A 35 °C low-temperature system with a heat pump radiator operates 25-35% more economically than a high-temperature system at 55 °C - and responds significantly faster than underfloor heating. 

Easy retrofit

Fan-assisted radiators are ideally suited for use in existing buildings, because switching from an oil or gas heating system to a heat pump is possible without any problems. Compared to underfloor heating, low-temperature radiators offer two decisive advantages: they are quick and easy to install and connect to the existing pipework – without milling floors and routing a new floor covering.

Effective cooling

In addition to the energy-efficient heating function, heat pump radiators used with a heat pump offer an integrated cooling function. Depending on the insulation of the existing pipe network, a dry or wet cooling function can be implemented. 

Quiet operation

Heat pump radiators provide heating and cooling with fan assistance. By using EPP, expanded polypropylene, optimum air routing is achieved, enabling maximum air volumes at low sound power levels. This means that heat pump radiators can be installed in offices and living areas – even in bedrooms.

The heat pump system

The temperatures of the heating water are crucial for the efficient operation of any heating system. Exactly how warm this water needs to be depends on the selected combination of heat generator and heat consumer. The basic principle is always the same: a heat generator supplies room units with warm water, and the heat consumers use the warm water for temperature control of the rooms.

If an oil or gas boiler is replaced by a heat pump as the heat generator, low system temperatures are recommended in order to keep operating costs low while maintaining high performance. Perimeter Heating units are then recommended as heat consumers, because in low temperature operation they quickly achieve 3-4 times the output of conventional radiators.

Installation

Kampmann products are delivered to the construction site sorted by type and ready on pallets. Everything is packaged and labelled in the best possible way. If required, with position numbers on the units so that they can be assigned to the respective floors and installation location.

BIM data

Use the BIM data sets for the PowerKon LT from Kampmann for a smooth process in the planning phase. These include unit dimensions, technical dimensions of the water and electrical connections, as well as performance data.

Site measurement

To avoid inaccuracies, site measurement is carried out by our technicians using 2D or 3D lasers. This ensures a precise and efficient measurement process. The handover to our project department then takes place automatically.

Maintenance and inspection are the key to the longevity and safety of technical systems. Regular checks prevent costly failures and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
