Hygienic heating and cooling

The unit is suitable for all indoor spaces with high hygiene requirements, such as office buildings, public buildings, therapy facilities, medical practices, waiting areas and laboratories.

Maximum comfort

The heated or cooled air flow is discharged from the unit laterally above the panel and thus glides along the ceiling. This uses the so-called Coanda effect. The uniform air distribution in the room ensures comfort and prevents drafts.

Model sizes

KaCool D HY is available in 4 model sizes (capacity classes).

Installation options

The dimensions are selected so that the ceiling cassette can be installed seamlessly into grid ceilings .

Easy maintenance

The high-quality design panel is easy to remove and thus enables easy access to all maintenance components.

High-quality building materials

It is made of galvanized, painted steel, while the interior housing of KaCool D HY is fitted with a sheet steel lining that is thermoacoustically coated based on polyolefins.

These materials are corrosion-resistant, easy to clean and resistant to humidity and microbial contamination. They promote a hygienic unit design and permanently clean air routing.

Can be combined with heat pump

KaCool D HY is suitable for operation with a heat pump or other low-temperature systems. The low system temperatures increase the efficiency of the heat pump and enable both heating and cooling operation.

Technical features

Cooling function included

  • The unit is suitable for dry and wet cooling.
  • Available as both a 2-pipe and 4-pipe system 
  • The stainless steel condensate tray collects the condensate and drains it out of the unit.
  • The condensate is drained either via a gravity drain or an optional condensate pump.

Two filter options

  • For air intake through the grille, two filter options are available.
  • Select a filter according to your requirements: ISO ePM10>50% (formerly M5) 
    or ISO ePM1>50% (formerly F7).

High-quality fan

  • The electrical fan unit includes a continuously variable radial fan and an overload-protected motor.

Hygiene-certified

  • KaCool D HY meets the highest hygiene requirements. Certification in accordance with the VDI 6022 hygiene guideline has been carried out externally by the HyBeta Hygiene Institute.

Control options

KaControl MC

With the integrated KaControl MC control, KaCool D HY offers bidirectional communication for up to 10 units within one group/room via CAN bus. With KaControl MC, the unit can be easily integrated into common building management systems such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP and KNX-TP.
