The Tandem DX door air curtains use the waste heat from commercial refrigeration and rely on the environmentally friendly refrigerant CO₂. Effective cold air screening reduces energy losses from the building.

Effective cold air screening

The Tandem DX reduces energy losses from the building through its effective cold air screening and increases comfort in the entrance area.

Natural refrigerant CO₂

The natural refrigerant CO₂ (R744) is used – allowing an efficient heating function to be implemented.

The Tandem DX is available in three different lengths.

Installation options

The unit can be installed on the wall, on the ceiling or freely suspended.

The Tandem DX can be installed or connected with other units using a connection set (accessory) to form a visually continuous line.

It is suitable for all consumer markets that want to actively use the waste heat from "commercial refrigeration". The door air curtains achieve an air discharge height of 3.2 - 4.0 m.

Tandem technology

In the tandem technology used in the door air curtains, an unheated pre-air curtain and a warm-air curtain work together. The pre-air curtain ensures stable airflow and protects the warm-air curtain from unfavorable air turbulence in the entrance area.

This means the entrance area is reliably shielded, while requiring less heat output. This saves energy and at the same time ensures a pleasant indoor air quality.

Easy Maintenance

Maintenance is extremely simple: The large-area filter, including frame and intake grille, can be removed with minimal effort.

Also practical is the large revision flap. The entire underside of the unit can be opened in just a few steps.

Technical features

Air outlet

  • Adjustable air outlet rectifiers ensure a directed, low-turbulence air outlet.
  • They can be swiveled up to 20°.

Maximum operating pressure

  • A maximum operating pressure of 130 bar is permitted for the heat exchanger of the Tandem DX.

Control options

Electromechanical control

This variant is ideal for simple applications. All integrated actuators are factory-wired to a terminal and can be connected to our electromechanical accessories.
