The future-proof climate control solution KaClima, as a central hydronic system, supplies decentralized room units with hot or chilled water to heat or cool rooms. Depending on the unit size, the units cover a capacity range of 5 - 676 kW.
Hydronic systems for heating and cooling buildings provide future-proof reliability. In the combination of chiller and heat pump with a suitable room unit, only minimum quantities of refrigerant are used. This is exactly what "Future-proof heating and cooling" means.
The heat pump systems feature reversible operation, allowing the system to be used for both heating and cooling the building. The cooling function is already integrated into the unit and does not require any additional air conditioning (technology). This allows the system to provide demand-based temperature control all year round, depending on the respective unit size.

The KaClima units are designed so that multiple units can be connected in a cascade and operate together as one system. This allows the capacity to be flexibly adapted to actual demand – from smaller applications through to high capacity requirements. At the same time, this concept ensures a high level of operational reliability and offers maximum flexibility in planning.
Our KaClima S and KaClima M units use the natural refrigerant R290 (propane) for an environmentally friendly heating and cooling solution. Additional unit series will also be gradually equipped with R290.
With an extremely low global warming potential (GWP) of just 0.02, R290 is a sustainable choice. As a non-F-gas, it is not affected by the phase-down or future restrictions and bans. The low refrigerant charge volumes further minimize the ecological footprint.

The KaClima S, M and L heat pumps meet the requirements of EU Directive 811/2013 and fall into the A++ to A+++ energy efficiency classes, which ensures extremely economical operation. This reduces the electricity bill and protects the environment.
A gradually adjustable mode for noise reduction – the so-called Low-Noise mode – effectively reduces disturbing noise. In night operation, the system automatically throttles back, resulting in a significant reduction in noise, depending on the respective unit size.
The basic concept is proven: A central heat generator supplies room units with temperature-controlled water, which deliver heat to the room as needed. What used to be an oil or gas boiler is now handled by the heat pump. Instead of conventional radiators, fan-assisted Perimeter Heating is increasingly being used.
These units show their strengths particularly at low system temperatures: thanks to active air circulation, they quickly achieve 3-4 times the capacity compared with conventional radiators – especially in the range typically (operated) at low temperature for heat pumps.
However, the decisive added value lies in year-round use. Thanks to the reversible operation of modern heat pumps including a chiller, the system can also be used efficiently for room cooling in summer. In combination with fan-assisted Perimeter Heating, a traditional heating solution thus becomes a holistic system for heating and cooling.
