Introduced at very low velocity, displacement diffusers create comfortable air conditioning that makes efficient use of natural thermal processes.
Displacement diffusers such as QAL and LBQ provide comfortable, draft-free air distribution and improve indoor air quality. Both systems pursue the same goal, but differ in the type of installation situation: while QAL can be freestanding or integrated into a drywall partition, LBQ is designed for installation in a raised floor.
The large inlet areas of QAL enable high heat load removal, while LBQ can be walked on, is integrated unobtrusively into the floor, and can be combined with floor channels for heating/cooling.
We customize displacement diffusers to your project requirements. We implement QAL in the shape that suits you best – linear, semicircular, or quarter-round. LBQ is manufactured in the desired height and width, with a matching cover.

Our displacement diffusers can be customized to your project requirements. This gives you maximum flexibility for every project.
For optimum adaptation to different installation situations, QAL is available in six nominal sizes, as well as in four heights and numerous depths. It is available in linear, semicircular, or quarter-round design.
The selection of height, width, and cover for the LBQ floor displacement diffuser is made in close consultation with you. Various material and surface finish options are available for the grilles and perforated plate, including anodized, coated, and natural metal versions, as well as perforated plate variants with custom coating.
LBQ is installed flush in the raised floor, making optimum use of the available space.
Individual units of the LBQ floor displacement diffuser are coupled together and, thanks to the continuous cover and frame edge, are perceived as a continuous band.

The QAL displacement diffuser adapts to different room uses. With a heat load removal capacity of 30 W/m² to 50 W/m², it covers a broad spectrum - from quiet offices to active workshops.
This adaptability ensures optimum indoor air quality while maintaining energy efficiency, regardless of the activity level in the room. If higher thermal loads occur, displacement diffusers are combined with heating and cooling ceiling systems.
Displacement diffusers are characterized by low air velocities that do not cause drafts. In the occupied zone, a fresh air lake is created, which is kept in constant motion by thermal effects from machines and people, thereby improving air quality.
The combination of improved air quality and very low air velocities makes this system an attractive alternative to conventional mixed-air systems, especially for moderate cooling loads.
In combination with the LBQ floor displacement diffuser and a Katherm trench technology unit, a uniform appearance in the floor area can be achieved. This is possible through the use of an Optiline grille, which ensures a uniform appearance.
All HVAC requirements can be met via the floor:
