Swirl diffusers enable the draft-free introduction of high volumetric flows into comfort areas of all kinds and meet the highest demands for comfort.

Integrated eccentric rollers

The patented, integrated eccentric rollers of the DAL358 enable high volumetric flows at low sound power levels. At the same time, they generate high room air induction and thus allow small minimum distances between the diffusers.

Rapid mixing of room air

The highly inductive Coanda ceiling jet of the swirl diffusers ensures rapid mixing of supply air and room air. As a result, temperature differences are quickly equalized and air velocities in the occupied zone are reduced – drafts are avoided.

DAL359

The DAL359 is a high-induction swirl air diffuser with radially arranged air outlet openings and a square or round face plate, suitable for flush ceiling installation as well as for open ceilings.

DRS

The DRS is a highly inductive swirl air diffuser with stamped rigid air guide blades embossed at 45 degrees, an integrated rectifier, and is available in round or square design.

LDI

  • Ventilate
The LDI is a swirl-vane adjustable diffuser for the draft-free introduction of conditioned supply air into high, air-conditioned comfort and industrial rooms.

DAL358

The DAL 358 swirl air diffuser is operated using a connection box and is available in both round and square versions, each in six nominal sizes ranging from DN 300 to DN 800.

DAL359

The DAL359 swirl air diffuser is available in six nominal sizes, ranging from DN 300 to DN 800, in either a square or round design.

DRS

The highly inductive DRS swirl diffuser is available in six sizes, square or round .

LDI

The LDI diffusers are available in six sizes with different nominal diameters . They can be installed at a height of 3 m to 32 m .

Application areas

  • In comfort and/or industrial areas of office and administrative buildings, cleanrooms, department stores, assembly rooms, laboratory rooms or production and multipurpose halls, as well as printing plants or trade fair and exhibition halls (depending on the swirl diffuser)
  • Suitable for constant as well as variable air volume flow systems
  • The DAL358 is advantageous for variable volumetric flows, because a reduction in the volumetric flow is possible without changing the jet pattern and the swirl effect and induction ratio are maintained.
  • The DAL359 is suitable for mixed ventilation when high air volumes are required.
  • The DRS is ideally suited for room heights of 2.20 m to 6 m and high cooling loads.

Integrated air-guiding elements

The flow-optimized and acoustically optimized air-guiding elements give the DAL359 swirl diffuser an attractive appearance and enable reliable use even at high cooling loads and low room heights. Even when installed, it can be adapted to changed volumetric flows and discharge temperatures.

Technical features

Variable jet pattern

Three jet patterns are possible with the DAL358 and DAL359: rotating, one-sided or two-sided:

  • In the standard setting the eccentric rollers generate a rotating ceiling jet with a swirl component and the associated high induction.
  • with the one-sided air discharge direction, the rollers of one half are set in the opposite direction.
  • A two-sided ceiling jet results from the opposite roller setting of two quarter-circle segments each.

Optimal air distribution

The stamped air-directing blades in the DRS divide the air flow into a multitude of individual highly inductive jets.

How it works

  • Depending on the setting of the blade angles in the LDI , different flow patterns are imposed on the air, ranging from a round free jet to an axial and radial swirl jet.
  • This enables continuous adaptation to different cooling, ventilation and heating scenarios.
  • Depending on the installation height, individual air volume flows from 350 to 12,000 m³/h per diffuser can be covered with the LDI.
  • Cold air accumulation in the floor area of the occupied zone is avoided, because the fresh air is supplied specifically and with maximum energy efficiency to the occupied zone.

Installation

  • Preferably, the DRS diffuser is operated with a plenum box.
  • However, it can also be mounted directly via a transition piece (or clamping flange) with an integrated perforated plate at the pipe end.
  • In addition to integration into a ceiling grid, suspended installation by means of a wire rope suspension is also possible.
  • Through the integration of the fins into the diffuser discharge plane, a pronounced horizontal jet is also ensured in suspended operation.

Flush ceiling design

Integrated flush into a ceiling panel, the front panel of the DRS is hardly noticeable. It is available in a round or square design. For installation in plasterboard ceilings, the round DRS can be integrated perfectly. The square panels fit into standard ceiling grids. Both variants are designed with stamped, rigid air-directing blades embossed at 45°.
