Effective cold air screening

The Tandem increases comfort in the entrance area. Thanks to the preliminary curtain, it improves effective cold air screening and reduces energy losses.

Preliminary and warm-air curtains

The door air curtains are equipped with so-called tandem technology, which creates a preliminary and warm-air curtain. The preliminary curtain is not heated; it protects against energetically disadvantageous turbulence in the warm-air curtain. Separating the two door air curtains reduces the heating demand and leads to a faster payback compared to conventional units as well as more climate-friendly operation.

Model sizes

The Tandem is available in two unit heights. Depending on the unit height, up to four unit lengths are available.

Installation options

The unit can be mounted free-hanging with brackets on the wall or on the ceiling . The air discharge height is between 2.7 m - 4 m.

Multiple Tandem door air curtains can be installed as a visually continuous band using a connection set (accessory), or connected together.

Short delivery time

All standard units of this door air curtain are available at short notice.

Fast Maintenance

Maintenance is extremely simple: The large-area filter, including frame and intake grille, can be removed with minimal effort.

The large revision flap is also practical. The entire underside of the unit can be opened in just a few simple steps.

Technical features

Air outlet

  • Adjustable air outlet rectifiers ensure a directed, low-turbulence air outlet.
  • They can be pivoted up to 20°.

Low temperature operation

  • For efficient use of a heat pump system, the door air curtain can be operated with low flow temperatures.
  • The warm-air curtain also benefits from this, as it reaches the floor more efficiently due to lower temperature differences.

Life cycle assessment data (EPD)

  • We assess the environmental impact of our products across their entire life cycle („cradle to cradle“) and publish the results transparently in our Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
  • These EPDs can be easily integrated into leading building certification systems such as DGNB, BREEAM or LEED and are available in the download section.

Control options

KaControl MC

The Tandem offers bidirectional communication for up to 10 units within one group/room via CAN bus with the integrated KaControl MC control. With KaControl MC, the unit can be easily integrated into common building management systems such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP and KNX-TP . 

Electromechanical control

This variant is ideal for simple applications. All integrated actuators are factory-wired to a terminal and can be connected to our electromechanical accessories such as thermostats or external controllers.
