The air discharge height describes the distance over which the air volume flow of an air curtain system ensures effective shielding between indoor and outdoor air.

It is therefore a central criterion when selecting the right unit.

By selecting the desired air discharge height, the unit design is determined by the difference in unit height.

The air curtains are available in different lengths.

The appliance length must be selected so that the entire door width is covered.

We offer various solutions for the control and regulation of our units, which can be used depending on the application and requirements:

Electromechanical control

This variant is ideal for simple applications. All integrated actuators are factory-wired to terminals and can be connected to our electromechanical accessories such as thermostats or external controllers.

KaControl MC1

Our comprehensive comfort control offers extended control options for individual rooms or appliance groups. It can be operated either via a touch display or a web interface. Thanks to on-site 0-10 V control or common communication protocols such as Modbus RTU & TCP, BACnet and KNX, this solution is ideal for all BMS applications.

• The device sizes are designed to fit common door opening dimensions.
• Further installation lengths can be obtained by combining basic units of the same or different sizes, possibly with a corresponding connection set.
• Installation lengths from 3 m can therefore be seamlessly extended using modular construction.

When placed above the door, the equipment must be installed so that the air outlet rectifier is placed as close as possible to the door opening. For larger distances:

• Align the outlet rectifier
• select the next longer device length
• create lateral partitions similar to a corridor

Extremely unfavorable operating conditions, such as

• strong negative pressure in the room, e.g. caused by mechanical ventilation without supply of outdoor air;
• Extremely adverse weather conditions with high wind speeds in an unprotected location;
• several open passages to the outside, especially if these are arranged opposite each other;

can impair the effective shielding provided by door air curtains.

Additional measures may be required here, e.g. for pressure equalization in the room.

• To allow the air outlet to be designed according to individual preferences, the air outlet straightener has an adjustment range of 20°.
• The air jet can be directed in a targeted and reliable manner to the outside or inside.

• Complies with the relevant hygiene guideline VDI 6022
• Goal: Ensuring hygienic supply air that is harmless to health
• Applies to common rooms such as workplaces, meeting rooms, break rooms, living rooms, sports facilities and sales rooms.
• With factory-fitted ISO Coarse filter in the intake area.
• Accessibility of all ventilated and water-bearing components for cleaning.
