New product models with CO2 as a natural refrigerant
Lingen (Ems), 10.10.2014: Kampmann GmbH, exhibiting at Chillventa, Nuremberg for the first time, will be showcasing a range of products that operate using refrigerants. The unique feature of these products – especially in terms of sustainability – is the option to operate them with CO2 as a natural refrigerant with low global warming potential.
To achieve this, the heat exchanger features significantly thicker wall thicknesses, thereby providing for both cooling and heating. These products are available as "direct evaporation" models and have already been used for many years for recover heat from chiller plants. The possibilities are almost unlimited when this technology is combined with VRF systems.
The products are also available with water-operated heat exchangers. This model provides the option of reducing the volume of refrigerant needed in the pipework and requires a heat carrier, such as a plate heat exchanger, to provide the transition from refrigerant to water. The products are also equipped with other energy-saving features, such as EC fans and Tandem technology, and can also be used for heat recovery.
Refrigerant models are available for Ultra ceiling units, KaCool D ceiling cassettes, Venkon fan coils, Vario and Tandem 385 door air curtains and for Airblock FG and Airblock KG ventilation units.
