Kampmann have optimised their KaCool D ceiling cassette.
Ceiling cassettes are a classic for air conditioning office buildings, hotels, exhibition and sales rooms. And Kampmann’s KaCool D has counted among the leading products in this category for a long time now. It is the attributes that distinguish so many of Kampmann’s units that also make the KaCool ceiling cassette a best seller: performance, efficiency, high-quality design that exercises restraint: the closeness of specialists, which becomes noticeable in the construction and maintenance work, – and, of course, the desire to offer the room user the best comfort possible. According to this premise, Kampmann have now optimised their KaCool D and have conquered new frontiers. Every nook and cranny was optimised: technology, maintenance-friendliness, installation – yet the development team placed their main focus on the comfort. And because it was successful, the cassette was given a new suffix: AF.
AF – what is that meant to mean? Pleasant freshness? Why not? After all, the new KaCool D can not only cool but optionally supply fresh air via a primary air vent. But that isn’t where “AF” comes from. Maybe strikingly filigree? Also quite possible – the most obvious change to be seen is namely the completely new facing design, which appears to be as equally stylish as it is unobtrusive and thus blends in with almost any interior design. Alternatively, the KaCool is also available with a no less aesthetic metal facing, which in addition, can be painted in every desired (RAL) colour. But alas, “strikingly filigree” is not the right answer. The next attempt would be:
EXTRAORDINARILY SPECIALIST FRIENDLY
Admittedly – this really is somewhat long-winded. But it is a match! After all, the new KaCool D AF is easy to install and maintain. A condensate pump is integrated and upon inspection, the condensate vessel does not have to be dismounted and thus no water needs to be drained off. All relevant parts can be accessed easily via an opening in the side of the cassette. Even the air filter is easy to remove for cleaning or replacement. A special service is the factory-provided integration of the valves. This means there is no need for an inspection opening to be installed in the building and the specialist can save themselves the assembly of the valves. The pre-installed valves are available for order quantities exceeding 50 pieces. However – yes, you’ve guessed it – the specialist friendly has its name from elsewhere. Maybe:
The new KaCool at a glance

• As quiet as a whisper thanks to EC technology
• AtmosFeel for draught-free air supply
• Maintenance- and installation-friendly
• Mulitifacted in size and configuration
• Optionally with KaControl, GLT-ready
FREEDOM OF CHOICE
Principally correct: The KaCool D AF is available in many configuration versions and with many accessories. We have already mentioned the “metal facing” and “integrated valves” options. This is added to by seven different unit sizes, an AC or an extremely quiet EC version, 2-pipe or 4-pipe system, 2- or 3-way valves and various control versions, including of course Kampmann’s KaControl control system. With this equipment, the unit avails of its own “intelligence” and can be operated in groups via the Kampmann tLan or CANbus networks. Moreover, each basic unit is potentially suitable for an integration in a technical building automation network. And yet “freedom of choice” was not eponymous, but:
THEY JOY OF FEELING
We have already insinuated: the focus was on the room occupant’s comfort during the optimisation, because that is exactly who the KaCool D AF is built for – like all our other units are. With that, great importance is attached to air conditioning systems that are installed in offices: because the room occupants usually remain at their workplaces (mostly desks), a draught must definitely be prevented. The KaCool D AF is designed for this purpose. In contrast to conventional systems, it supplies the air more horizontally, i.e. closer to the ceiling and this way utilises the maximum effect of the coanda effect. The consequence is a draught-free supply of air that provides the room occupant the greatest comfort. For a super atmosphere and a good feeling– simply AtmosFeel!
