RTL TV Studio, Cologne

American football still feels exotic like a marginal sport in Germany. But football is now firmly in the mainstream when it comes to its popularity among German TV audiences: a panel survey conducted by AGF Videoforschung showed that American football is the second most popular sport on German television. Naturally far behind uber-popular football – but ahead of ski jumping, handball etc. RTL was therefore all the more committed to securing the NFL's broadcasting rights in Germany, which had been held by ProSiebenSat.1 since 2012. And Cologne-based broadcaster RTL was therefore thrilled when it was awarded the broadcasting rights in 2023. Now RTL is committed to making American football even bigger in Germany.

This also includes a brand-new TV studio, which will provide an appropriate professional backdrop to the spectacular broadcasts. The new home of the NFL in Germany is located in the RTL Broadcasting Centre in Cologne and provides everything needed for a successful relaunch: a very American, yet pleasantly restrained interior, huge LED screens and spacious lounge-like surroundings, in which both employees and guests are guaranteed to feel at home. Kampmann is part of this feel-good interior ‘climate’: Ultra Allround ceiling units are used to heat, cool and ventilate the studio.

Although you do have to look up quite far to see them in the Cologne studio. But that is precisely why they were installed here: in heating mode, the Ultra Allround conveys warm air at a high pulse to ground level and so is ideal for installation heights of up to seven metres. In cooling mode, the Ultra Allround is switched over by a motor, and now discharges air horizontally under the ceiling – a veritable innovation! And one reason why the Ultra Allround is the most efficient unit on the market – and it goes without saying, the most attractive one too.

Ultra Allround units are available fully or partially encased and in a colour of your choice. They comply with the Hygiene Directive VDI 6022, which governs their construction, cleaning, maintenance and components. And, of course, Ultra Allround units are suitable for use with a heat pump or other low temperature system.
