Unit Heaters
Resistent
Wall- and ceiling-mounted unit heater, corrosion resistance for extreme application areasOverview
The Resistent is used wherever aggressive air is to be moved. All parts of the housing are manufactured in V4A stainless steel as standard. The housing is self-supporting and boasts a modern industrial design with 45° angles on all sides. It also features suspension points for universal installation on the wall or ceiling as standard.
We rely on high-efficiency EC technology. The built-in EC fans can be continuously variably controlled by a 0-10 V DC signal and thus provide energy-efficient operation. The fan speed can be limited to approx. 50% of the maximum speed by the potentiometer in the junction box.
A one-row louvre or the four-way diffuser are available as air guidance accessories.
The air is drawn in through the fan and is blown through the heat exchanger into the room. Models with large heat exchanger capacity are ideal for use with low water temperatures.
- Continuously variable EC single-phase whisper-quiet sickle-blade fan
- High-efficiency due to the aerodynamic design of the rotor housing
- IP54 motor protection
- According to DIN ISO 21940-11 for the corresponding fan category; the external rotor motor integrated in the fan impeller is balanced according to ISO 14694
- Complies with Directive (EU) 327/2011 ("LOT 11")
The integral motor monitoring device switches off the motor in the event of an overload – either individual units or an entire group depending on the control. The motor malfunction can be externally evaluated.
The heat exchanger is suitable for use with low pressure hot water (LPHW) or thermal oil. It comes in 2 versions:
- Hot-dip galvanised steel heat exchanger: For application areas in which air heaters with a stainless steel housing are required for reasons of hygiene, high air humidity or specific requirements.
- V4A stainless steel heat exchanger (see Fig.): For use in areas with aggressive air as well as for operation with aggressive heating media.
It is operated by a continuously variably adjustable manual fan speed controller combined with a thermostat.
EC thermostats can optionally be used for the direct operation of a maximum of two units or an electronic fan speed controller for up to ten units.
Depending on the type, fan speed controllers have extensive control functions, including automatic fan operation or manual fan operation.
