Overview
Katherm QE units with electric heating coil are the ideal solution for rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows in which the use of a low pressure hot water-based coil cannot be realized or is unprofitable. The high heat output is assisted by an energy-saving EC low-sound tangential fan.
An integrated safety chain consisting of a safety thermostat and temperature cut-out ensures safe operation with low grille surface temperatures in the event of improper operation. The safety cut-off is 2-stage (mechanical and electrical). To prevent contact with the coil, the trenches are also fitted with a factory-fitted grille fixing system.
Katherm QE units are supplied as complete heating trenches for installation in screed. An appropriate Optiline roll-up grille is supplied to match every interior design requirement. The frame edge visually matches the grille.

The classic Katherm QK is now supplemented by Katherm QK nano. The incentive for nano came from London: here, as in many export markets, the floor construction height varies between 400 millimetres in commercial buildings and merely 100 millimetres in residential buildings.
