Manually adjustable combination diffuser for installation in a ceiling box.
Overview
The diffuser combines a supply air and an extract air diffuser with a single visible front. The integrated cross-talk sound damper is supported on hinged baffles. This provides for easy cleaning of the diffuser (VDI 6022), as well as the accessibility of the supply air and extract air spigots (volume flow limiter available as an option).
The combination diffuser enables draught-free supply and exhaust air routing in the comfort area. Thanks to patented eccentric rollers, continuous adjustment between horizontal and vertical air flow is possible.
The combination of nozzle and eccentric rollers enables a market-leading quiet use of the device.
In the office itself, it is not necessary to suspend the ceiling. The offices are centrally supplied with supply air from the false corridor ceiling and exhaust air is extracted from them.
The KS consists of a galvanised sheet steel plenum box. The front plate per se is designed as a multi-air flow front plate with built-in SAL air guidance elements, the colour of which can be adapted. The air guidance elements are made of black plastic (ABS) but are also available in white, if required. The front plate can be removed by a screw fixing. Swivelling acoustic insulating backing provides fast and easy access to the connected ductwork system (e.g. to change the constant volumetric flow controller) according to VDI 6022.
The optional flow regulator can be accessed at any time by removing the front panel. To do this, simply remove 3 screws in the front panel and turn the soundproofing panels to the side. The flow regulator can be removed and adjusted without tools. Depending on the version of the KS, the required flow rate can be adjusted in the supply air and also in the exhaust air in increments of 5 m³.
The visible front of the KS combined diffuser comprises 3 continuous slot rows. Equipped with patented eccentric rollers, the air flow direction can also be adjusted in situ.
The front plate can be removed quickly and easily with 3 screws. The entire plenum box is then accessible and can be cleaned in accordance with VDI 6022. The built-in acoustic insulating backing can be rotated and swivelled to the side for cleaning purposes.
Integral acoustic insulation backing in the plenum box reduces the transmission of system noise into the room and the transmission of voices through the ductwork system.
